WHAT WE DO ?
Leadership Development
We empower NT/DNT and marginalised communities by fostering leadership skills, encouraging participation in local governance, and promoting gender equality.
Education Support
Our Mahatma Fule Support School Center works to eliminate dropout rates among NT-DNT children by creating a nurturing learning environment, engaging parents, and addressing barriers to education.
Advocacy & Rights Awareness
We lead campaigns to raise awareness on basic citizenship rights, women’s health, and the Indian Constitution. Our focus is on helping communities secure citizenship documents and access government schemes.
samaveshak NGO Founder
The organization was founded by Shaila Yadav, a pioneering young woman from the nomadic community who became the first girl from her society to pursue higher education in youth social work. Shaila’s own life experiences, marked by struggles against systemic inequality and questions of societal acceptance, inspired her to dedicate herself full-time to social work during her higher education years. She envisioned a brighter future for her community, particularly through education, and began her work by raising awareness about the importance of education within her tribe.
Shaila Yadav’s leadership as a young social activist has overcome numerous challenges, especially as she comes from a community that has long been neglected by mainstream society and bound by patriarchal norms. Her path is a testament to the power of perseverance and education. She not only broke through barriers to acquire higher education but also established an institution to serve the most deprived and marginalized sections of society. Shaila’s commitment and vision have earned her significant recognition and responsibilities at a young age.
